This is so special. I love it. I remember a few years ago your brother posted on your moms blog. I think he shared some pics of the rides. It was good. I can see your brother there in the sweet face of your son. What a great sister you are.

Sarah, this post was so beautiful. Really. I think the love and understanding you have for your brother is truly amazing and he is SO lucky to have you. So lucky. The video is wonderful. I love, love, LOVE that song so much, and I enjoyed the peek into your brother’s (and your) childhood. Your mom did an outstanding job putting it together!!

I know just who Steph is speaking of and that man was working so hard and loving it. I think that traveling like that would be cool, a d I am glad you are open to loving him and appreciating him for who he is.

sarah, i love this so much. i love the way your brother sees life. and i love the way you see your brother. i love hearing people’s stories. i LONG for them, but at the same time try to find a balance of appearing like a nosey, crazy person. i TRY to get the carnies to talk to me. i try to look at them, smile at them, thank them for helping my children…..simply because i appreciate them and i’m intrigued by them and their story.
oh, if we could all live like him….loving just being happy and making other people happy. without all the crap of material things, connotations, status and power.

From someone who has a parent in a mental institution, I feel for you when it comes to “hiding them from the world”, because while there might be a one liner or a thousand to describe them, they’re family. They’re blood. And I’ll punch someone if they think they “know”.
